Sounds like the bridge diode has been blown and needs repair. I do not think you will do any additional harm to the radio using like this, but you should schedule a repair (get an RMA). Inquire directly with the FlexRadio Service folks for the exact answer. (service at flex-radio.com)

I'm told that because resetting the database did not resolve the problem where the output shows 0 watts, even thought the external watt meter shows full output, I should send the radio back in for repair.

My question is: will it hurt the radio any if I don't and just rely on the external watt meter? (I don't want to go a weekend without it) :)

Thanks,

N8KJG / Ken
