Subject: [Flexradio] 2nd receiver problem
There seems to be some kind of issue with the 2nd receiver in my flex 5000a.
For receiver 1 I can switch in antenna 1 or 2 and I receive a signal.
If I set receiver 1 to be on antenna 2 and receiver 2 to be on antenna 1,
receiver 2 has no signal and the noise level is down at -140db. It seems
like the receiver is dead or that something has happened to the signal path
inside the radio for receiver 2. Or perhaps there is a setting somewhere
that needs to be changed.
[Tim] Do you receive signals on the RX2 on *any* antenna port? If not, then the micro coax connector that connects the RX2 to the HRFIO board may (a) have come loose/not seated properly on either end or (b) is not connected to the correct port on the HRFIO board.
I also am wondering why receiver 2 doesn't allow me to have it connected to
Antenna 2.
[Tim] Because the RF switching matrix (HRFIO board) is not designed to allow RX2 to use more than one transceiver port (ANT1-3) and ANT-1 was selected for the S02R capabilities.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks very much
Jim
