[Flexradio] PowerSDR startup inconsistency

Here's a poser for this group.  I often use my Flex-3000 for digital
modes.  If I start up the PowerSDR application after being closed on
LSB, then, when I start up the EasyPal digital software, I have frequent
drop-outs in PowerSDR and sometimes PowerSDR hangs when using EasyPal.
If I start up PowerSDR after the application was closed on DIGL, then,
when I start up EasyPal, it works fine with nary a drop-out.  Of course,
PowerSDR always starts for me in the last mode in which I left it when I
closed it down.  When starting up the second way, I can switch back and
forth between LSB and DIGL with no drop-outs when I return to DIGL.  I
suppose I can recreate my data base, but I recall this happening in
earlier versions of PowerSDR, and I always start with a clean database
with each application update.  What is going on?
 
The system here is:
Flex-3000
PowerSDR 1.18.2
VAC
3 Ghz Pentium 4 Desktop machine
 
I tried increasing the priority of PowerSDR, but it makes no difference.
