[Flexradio] Use in expedition.

The problem is application focus. Windows will not allow you to have two programs in focus at the same time, so you will be switching back and forth between PowerSDR and the logging program if you need to change the listening frequency.

To make the transition easier, you can use a utility in the Windows Power Toys (I forget the exact app name) to make the mouse behave more like a UNIX mouse. When the cursor is over a window, that window is in focus and you do not have to click on the window to bring it into focus.

If the logging program allows you to control VFO A (rx) and not change VFO B (tx) via CAT then it might work. Win-Test may allow you to do this.

Subject: [Flexradio] Use in expedition.

Hello friends:
We want use the FLEX-5000A in our next expedition.
When we go to a expedition weight is very important, and we can't have 2
laptops in a station.
We work always in Split.
TX is a fixed frequency and we listen 5 to 10 or 5 to 15 up.
The problem is:
We have to use the same laptop for logging and Powersdr.
The BIG problem is ... How can we change the listen frequency without
change from logging software to PowerSDR ?
Yes, we can use a shuttle pro, but can't change to powersdr in each qso
in a pile up.
Any help?
Any future accesories?

Has anybody done this in a dx-pedition?

This is the only "using" problem we have had with the Flex's.

TNX a lot.
