I used hinged NEMA enclosures for the bulkhead and lightning protection connections just outside the shack like these

This is what we mount external "public spaces" wifi hardware in that is really exposed to the elements (usually on a roof with no protection). They can be locked too.

The PVC enclosures won't rust but at the same time they are not watertight.
Depending on how you mount them, you may want to make a tiny hole to drain any water that may permeate. I use a PVC enclosure for my remote tuner.
The box mounts face up. I found that water will eventually get in through the screws. I resolved the issue by using some clear nail polish over and around all the screws.
