In September, FlexRadio Systems announced a Preamplifier Improvement offer
to all existing registered FLEX-3000 customers.  This FREE offer expires
12/31/09.  If you are interested in the upgrade but haven't contacted us
yet, please follow the instructions from Gerald Youngblood's email below.
We'll work with you to get your radio in and back quickly.

Canadian and Australian area Customers:  Many have contacted us about a
local upgrade and we are still working to qualify authorized local support
center in these areas.   We hope to have this resolved soon but let us know
if you'd like to have your radio upgraded in the U.S. instead.  We thank you
for your patience and will work with you to make sure you get your upgrade
free of charge.  Thanks.

I want to give my personal thanks to all those helpful FLEX-3000 owners that
worked with us as we brought up our online RMA and scheduling processes.

FLEX-3000 PREAMPLIFIER IMPROVEMENT

Dear FLEX-3000 customers:

FlexRadio Systems recently incorporated an engineering change to the
FLEX-3000(TM) receiver preamplifier that improves IP2 and IP3 performance
when the preamplifier is engaged.  This change was incorporated into all new
production or repaired FLEX-3000s beginning September 1, 2009.

To determine if your radio has the updated preamplifier ECO, start the
PowerSDR software.  From the main screen click on SETUP/GENERAL /Hardware
Options and look at the last character of the TRX board serial number.
Version "G" or higher indicates the IP2 improvement has been installed. Go
to http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50430.aspx for a screenshot
showing the revision number location.

If you would like to have your FLEX-3000 updated, please email us at
RMA at flex-radio.com to receive an RMA and schedule your return to your
closest FlexRadio Systems service center for modification.  Why the word
"Schedule"?  We plan to do upgrades in batch-mode.   You will be responsible
for the shipping charges to the closest FlexRadio service center.  FlexRadio
will cover the cost of modification and return shipping once completed.  To
help our technical staff be most efficient, we'll extend this free update
offer until December 31, 2009.  After December 31, 2009, a nominal $50 bench
fee plus return shipping costs will be assessed for the modification.

NOTE: You must contact FlexRadio Systems to request a Return Material
Authorization (RMA) number before you return your radio.  Please email
RMA at flex-radio.com to schedule your upgrade.
