[Flexradio] More memory?

I'm still trying to get acceptable CW performance from my 5000A. I've tried
most of the suggestions I've received without much progress. Buffer sizes
and sample rates mostly. One I haven't tried yet is to add more memory to
the old computer. It works fine on everything else with about a 30% CPU
usage. But the delay when using a paddle with the radio is unacceptable. I
currently have 512K and running XP Pro on a P4 at 3GHz.
Will more memory help my problem?
It doesn't look like PSDR pages stuff to the hard drive while operating so
would more memory help? To add a gig to this computer will cost about $100
and I don't want to spend the cash if it won't help with the CW problem.
Everything works super on the digital modes and voice.
I also noticed a problem when keying with an external keyer. Sometimes the
first part of a character gets garbled. If the first character happens to be
a dit then the whole dit is skipped sometimes. To check another way I
recently installed HRD and tried the option that keys the key line via RTS.
If I send a string of "0" (zeros) sometimes it cuts off part of the first
dash. It sounds like a bad switch contact closure while listening to the
monitor and also in a separate monitor receiver. Keying speed is about 15
WPM and the break in delay is set to 600 ms so the relay will not drop out
between words. RF goes into a dummy load at about 10 watts. Power level has
no effect on the issue.
I'm using the latest releases of everything - no beta code. VAC and Com0Com.
Tried sample rates of 96K and 192K and about all the buffer sizes.
Thanks to all who offered suggestions.
