You are sailing in uncharted waters with sea monsters using Win7. I think that my be the root cause of all the strange behavior you are experiencing.

In preparation for my 3000 I set up PowerSDR 1.18.0 in demo mode, com0com 2.2.0.0 x64, VAC 4.9.0.1652 full, and HRD build 1989 - set up com0com according to the powerpoint install doc on Flex site and told PowerSDR's CAT menu to ID as PowerSDR and set HRD to talk to a Flex 1000 - also tried setting PowerSDR as TS-2000 and HRD to talk to TS-2000 - in both cases after I change VFO-A frequency in HRD a couple of times PowerSDR becomes unresponsive (UI locked up) and HRD says it can't communicate. com0com is set to emulate baud rate on HRD side (COM7) and enable buffer overrun on PowerSDR side (COM17). So - using PowerSDR in demo mode this way may be invalid in which case I apologize for this post - wanted to get software issues out of the way as much as possible before the 3k arrives. another wild card is Windows 7 64 bit in which case I know that is obviously not a supported configuration - PowerSDR seems to run fine in demo mode, listened to sample IQ files and decoded some DRM sample - also VAC is working fine - just not CAT. Also set boot option to not require driver signing. PC is a ThinkPad core 2 duo 2.53ghz + 4gb ram. No other apps running besides HRD and PowerSDR. Posting on top of tihs thread in case it is related to the CAT TX bug.

There is a bug in the 1.18.0 release of PowerSDR where the CAT "TX" command is not working. This problem was resolved late last week and a patched version of PowerSDR is in the /branches/test version in SVN

I have installed the latest PSDR 1.18 version and have something unusual happening. I use HRD with DM780 for digital modes and with the new 1.18 version my SDR1K is not keyed. The DM780 sowftware appears to function correctly showing the TX buffer being keyed, but the PSDR or SDR1K never switch to transmit.
I have both imported my 1.16.2 database into 1.18 and reentered all the data to build a new database. Same problem. However, if I use the 1.16.2 version, everything works fine as it has been. No other changes to my system other than PSDR versions.
Any ideas on what might be wrong here?
