Val,

I use N1MM with PowerSDR all of the time, even for non-contest operations.

Actually, N1MM grabs the focus whenever the frequency changes by a certain
amount. It is not time based. The issue lies with N1MM, not PowerSDR. Tom
Wagner, N1MM, wrote N1MM Logger to be as efficient as possible for
contesting and that meant making certain that the focus was on the N1MM
entry screen at all times. Unfortunately, there is no way to change this
behavior, nor do you really want to for serious contesting operations.

How are you tuning in PowerSDR? I either use the click-tune or the
click-drag method. Either method does not require PowerSDR to have the
focus. As soon as you depress the mouse button, PowerSDR will have the
focus & will continue to have the focus until the mouse button is released.
The focus will then immediately return to N1MM Logger. If you are using the
keyboard shortcuts to change frequency in PowerSDR, then N1MM logger can
grab the focus between keystrokes, making it very frustrating. Try using
the keyboard shortcuts in N1MM to change frequency instead.
